Thank You for Your Interest in Joining the Estate Planning Council of Colorado Springs
We appreciate your interest in becoming a member of the Estate Planning Council of Colorado Springs. Membership is governed by the requirements outlined in our By-Laws and is open to professionals actively engaged in estate planning and related disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria
Prospective members must belong to one of the following professional groups:

Legal Professionals – Attorneys, judges, or paralegals

Financial Professionals – Investment advisors, life insurance professionals, or Certified Financial Planners (CFP)

Trust & Financial Institutions – Employees of banks, trust companies, or similar institutions
-
Accounting & Allied Fields – Accountants, valuation experts, planned giving professionals, or educators
Individuals who do not fall into these categories may still be considered for membership if they have at least seven (7) years of experience applying estate planning principles within their profession.

To apply for membership, please submit the following:

How you can contribute to the Council

What you hope to gain from membership

Two letters of recommendation from active Council members

At least one must be from a member outside of your own professional group

Estate Planning Council of Colorado Springs is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils and joining can fulfill the requirement of belonging to an affiliated local estate planning council to become an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designee. Please contact the national office at 866-226-2224 to learn more about the Accredited Estate Planner® designation.
